Nicci is currently N4J’s Chief Operating Officer and has worked with N4J since 2022. Her appointment reflects the leadership, technical depth, operational strength, and trust she has built across the organization, Board, team, and partners.
Since joining N4J, Nicci has played a central role in shaping N4J’s strategy, strengthening our operational systems, supporting our flagship programs in Canada and the United States, and building our Africa nature-based solutions program.
Nicci brings extensive experience across climate resilience, natural climate solutions, regenerative agriculture, working lands, locally-led conservation, nature finance, sustainable supply chains, rural economic development, and equitable climate transitions. Before joining N4J, she founded and led several international environment and economics businesses and held senior leadership roles with C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group and Crown Agents, where she supported climate action, green economy, and sustainable development initiatives across Africa and globally.
As our new CEO, Nicci will lead N4J into its next chapter: scaling locally led nature-based solutions, strengthening community-centered finance and partnerships, and ensuring that Indigenous Peoples, smallholder farmers, and frontline rural communities are the owners, leaders, and long-term beneficiaries of climate and nature action.
N4J’s current CEO and co-founder, Hank Cauley, will transition to the Board and remain actively involved in an advisory capacity, continuing to support the organization through strategic relationships, thought leadership, and governance guidance.
