Indigenous communities will be critical partners in realizing Canada’s ambitious conservation, climate, and biodiversity goals. Already, Indigenous governments have proposed over 100 Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) across the country.
We launched our Growing American Farmer Prosperity Program in late 2022 to address the mounting pressures faced by smallholder farmers in the US: rising input costs, climate variability, aging demographics, and limited access to markets. Our program directly supports smallholder farmer adoption of regenerative agricultural practices, which can substantially lower input costs, increase climate resilience, enhance yields, and stabilize farm profitability.
